Santi is available for DIY commissions, visual performances & installations
A spectacle that casted a series of trans and gender-diverse models and performers to take part in a live exhibition spectacle of daddy archetypes. Santi created (Gender) Hack Daddy, a trans 'build a bear' version where attendees could dress Santi up as anything they wanted. A way for people to experiment with gender and to create new ones of their own via DIY expression. The entire outfit was made by Santi included bleach dye denim, carabiner words, removable patchwork and gender-full items from the charity shop :)
Santi is obsessed with DIY style- creating clothes that feel affirming without needing to be perfect with the craft. Painting, bleaching, safety pinning and cutting things up are their go-to's. Their current brand GIRLY BOY is a new streetwear brand (previously known as Pretty Boy Spice), where they create clothes with gender non-conforming themes. Santi has previously sold online and at raves and shows in London including Riposte, Slaystation and other community events.
Santi was commissioned by VFD (Dalston, London) to set up an installation for their window display. The installation ran for one month in March 2023 and it was a manifestation of G(end)er Swap's digital style archive entitled QUEERTEXSTYLES. It platformed the stories of three LGBTQ+ creatives in the UK and their relationship with style. A big thank you to Lyall - Founder of VFD, who helped make this possible.
