Santi S.

Santi is a community organiser focusing on trans access to style and well-being resources, artist,  and academic. They are the Founder of G(end)er Swap: the first LGBTQ+ style outreach organisation in the UK that supports gender-diverse people to explore self-expression. Moreover, they are the Founder of T-Boy Sweat: an exclusive sauna community night for trans men and trans masculine people in Berlin.

Santi is one of the only practitioners of their kind in the UK with over a decade of experience working in well-being, style, and makeup support for diverse communities across the UK (and internationally). Their work spans visual culture, community workshops, digital content creation and fashion up cycling as mediums to explore, and challenge, ideas of gender non-conformity and trans-ness, while generating  new creative resources for Trans+ people and allies.

For their award-winning initiatives, Santi has been invited to the academic and social enterprise sector to speak about their work, has completed commissioned textile installations and performance pieces for renowned queer/archival spaces, and has published work, resources and social media commissions for a variety of global platforms.

Aiming to expand visibility of trans DIY style practices within academia, Santi is a new PhD researcher at the University of Liverpool, and a recipient of the AHRC 'Crafting Care' Doctoral Award (2026).
